Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages the design, installation, and support of the enterprise environment, Cisco networking equipment, and Microsoft platforms (e.g. WAN/LAN/VLANs, switches, routers, Active Directory, and VoIP).
  • Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing diagnostic analyses for network connectivity issues, bandwidth usage, user account management, remote access services, and network performance, ensuring systems, devices, and peripherals meet or exceed performance standards.
  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation, and performs upgrades, fixes, and patches to mitigate. Researches and provides guidance for technological innovations, such as network virtualization development, in order to benefit and revolutionize the infrastructure, environment, and processes.
  • Maintains and updates accurate network diagrams, configurations, circuits, and equipment inventory.
  • Documents all technical activities, such as network designs, resolution efforts, and diagnostic analysis results.         

Required skills

  • Associate’s Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience or 6 to 8 years of experience in information technology infrastructure implementingand supporting mixed, complex environments and solutions
  • A minimum of 6 years of overall experience in information technology infrastructure implementations
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA), Cisco Certified NetworkProfessional (CCNP), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required
  • Ability to support server network virtualization development, strategies and deployment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to the network, including system backup, user account management and e-mail systems, internet access,office systems applications, remote access services, network printing and provide VPN support
  • Ability to support user community with troubleshooting techniques and corrective measures for miscellaneous infrastructure issues
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and technologies to include VoIP, IOS, WAN/LAN, Switches, Routers and ASAs; and Microsoft platforms such asWindows Server and Desktop, Exchange, Active Directory and SMS
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining networking technologies
