Responsibilities Include:

  • Support application deployments, building new systems and upgrading and patching existing ones
  • Support transformation of Infrastructure Automation
  • Use monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and ensure that we exceed our SLAs
  • Build and manage development and testing environments, assist application owners in debugging application issues
  • Leverage templates and scripting to build required automation and tools on an ad-hoc basis (Chef)
  • Administration of IBM Rational/Jazz tools consisting of Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager, Doors NextGen.
  • Administration of BuildForge, Rational Application Developer, Rational Software Architect, and Rational Test Workbench.
  • Administration of heritage IBM Rational installations – ClearQuest (CQ), and ClearCase (CC).
  • Administration of Rational Licensing
  • Creation of workstation automated installs for Rational workstation client software.
  • Support of Rational tools end users (software developers, software testers, architects, and infrastructure team members).
Qualifications for this position include:
  • A 4-year degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
  • Expertise in implementation and administration of IBM Rational tools (Jazz/RTC/RQM/DNG; Buildforge; ClearCase, ClearQuest; RAD/RFT/RPT/RSA)
  • Must have experience with both Windows and UNIX operating systems
  • Must have experience modifying application configuration files
  • Must be familiar with strategies for database backups, filesystem backups
  • Must have experience with common scripting languages
  • Must have good understanding and knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and processes
  • DevOps Experience, Automation/Scripting Skills
  • Experience with DevOps and the ability to quickly learn related tools
  • Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios, Tivoli, Wily, BMC)
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues
  • Ability to configures IaaS environments, provision and decommission resources, monitor utilization and make adjustments in accordance with SOPs and policy
  • Strong Team Player but able to work independently
Optional Skills and Experience Desired
  • Experience with CI/CD testing and deployment tools such Jenkins,
  • Understands various Firewall architectures and Network Security concepts
  • Exposure to Federal Security requirements e.g. FISMA and FedRAMP
  • Exposure\Experience with DB2, SQL, Oracle
  • Experience with Python / PowerShell (or similar) expertise)
