Systems Engineer III
Location: Washington, DC 

Position Summary:

Develops requirements from project's inception to its conclusion for a particular IT subject matter area (Active Directory and Exchange). Assists other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronics analysis; software; life-cycle management; software development methodologies; modeling and simulation; disaster recovery; and requirements management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to national scale, complex projects with numerous communications components such as routers, switches, and performance optimization appliances.
  • Provide support for the maintenance of a secure IT infrastructure for the customer.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and processes.
  • Support day to day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for any issues that arise with the infrastructure or security concerns.
  • Analyze user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload, computer usage, and analyze proposed system upgrades and insertion of COTS products in the infrastructure.
  • Analyze security impacts of proposed system upgrades or changes to the infrastructure including the implementation of COTS products.
  • Analyze, support, and configure active directory and exchange

Subject Matter Expert Level III - Application Infrastructure/Delivery

  • Master's Degree or Higher
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Active Directory and Exchange specific experience
  • Manage small to national scale, complex projects with numerous communications components such as routers, switches, and performance optimization appliances.
  • Provide support for the maintenance of a secure IT infrastructure for the customer.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and processes.
  • Support day to day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for any issues that arise with the infrastructure or security concerns.

  • Exchange 2010/2013 (Working knowledge)
  • Mobile Messaging Technologies (GOOD, BES/BlackBerry, AirWatch, working knowledge)
  • System Center 2012 (SCOM, SCCM, OSD, Etc)

  • ClearWell E-Discovery Platform
  • Quest Active Roles Server (ARS), InTrust, ChangeAuditor

  • Implement, support, design, and document authentication solutions.
  • Implement, support, design, and document PIV/CAC solutions.
  • Enterprise PKI Engineering and Tier III support.
  • USGCB/NIST/NSA/DISA compliancy for servers and workstations.
  • Evaluate, test, design, document, and implement security solutions for workstations and servers.
  • Implement and design auditing and other security-related features or technologies.
  • Support test servers/workstations/solutions by ensuring compliancy and operation.
  • Troubleshoot testing servers/workstations/solutions remotely when required.
