Company Description:

Our great client provides technical and operational oversight and advisory support for their federal customer to assist in the monitoring, performance tracking and quality assurance activities for its’ technical IT contracts. Oversight and advisory support areas include: technical operations management technical quality assurance support, incident management, problem management, program management, portfolio management, and contract management. Work products, deliverables, and support delivered under this task order are performed utilizing integrated processes and methods across all technical, business and management requirements.  Objectives to be technically and programmatically overseen, monitored and quality assured:  Oversee and monitor the provision of services providing expert technical engineering and project management support services to lead the modernization of the IT infrastructure through the migration of servers, data, and workloads from two (2) datacenters to the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud; Amazon Web Services and other Cloud/XaaS/Hosting environments.

Position Description:

Serve as the Cloud Business Operations Analyst providing operations oversight of financial, process, tracking, reporting and contractual aspects for the customer’s various IT components and applications in the cloud and as they are migrated to the Azure cloud. Support a range of hybrid cloud solutions including IaaS, SaaS, and/or PaaS. Advise customers on various cloud financial aspects (Azure, Aws, etc), discuss benefits and risks of each. May serve as a lead or in a supervisory role for other cloud oversight analysts

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide technically oversight, monitor and provide quality assurance management support for any Cloud financial tracking, reporting and monitoring.
  • Monitoring Capacity management for the Cloud environment.
  • Provide Azure reporting and analysis as required. 
  • Provide monthly burn rate analysis and reporting.
  • Provide support for Cloud tagging and reporting.
  • Monitor Azure rates and feature changes for impact analysis on customer.
  • Perform SETA contract deliverables as required.
Minimum Baseline Required Skills:
  • Associates Degree OR 5 years of experience.
  • The ideal candidate has a technical background (preferably with Microsoft Azure, AWS or other cloud solutioning) along with financial tracking experience
  • Experience conducting analysis to identify and report if cloud services are being used in a cost and operationally efficient manner
  • Experience with the development of a cloud management model to enable the government to act as its own cloud broker: delivers capacity mgmt., chargeback, and utilization tracking
  • Experience with determining chargeback allocations and amounts
  • Experience with using Cloud tagging for reporting and chargeback purposes
  • Familiarity with cost impacts of dynamic provisioning
  • Experience with collecting cloud related data and reporting
  • Possession of excellent client interfacing, relationship building, and consulting skills
  • Experience working in a consulting environment
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed, strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated effective client management (internal or external) skills
Highly Desired:
  • 7+ years of financial / cost experience with 2+ years of Cloud financial experience with Azure and/ or AWS
  • BS degree in CS, Information Systems, or a related business field from an accredited university
  • Azure or AWS Certification
